The farm where the field is located belongs to Fletcher Anderson and Rod Rice. We could not ask for better land owners. They let us indulge in our little hobby and are completely supportive. The field sits adjacent to Stearns creek next to a pictureque covered bridge built by Rod and Fletcher. It is a working farm that pastures 80 to 120 head of cattle each spring and summer. We ask that anyone using or visiting the field be respectful of the land owners, their dogs and the livestock on the farm. Please close any gate behind you that you open. The field hosts several events each summer including the antique car show, the annual big bird fly in, the northwest scale rally and USSMA qualifier put on by Northwest scale aero modelers. We welcome control line flyers, R/C, gas and electric, drones and free flight. Turbines are allowed depending on field condition at the time.

Great people, great fun! Everyone in our club works hard to make the wheels go round. We appreciate them all.

Faro field lies in a flood plane so our viable flying season can vary depending on weather. It is usually from late March till mid to late November. After that the ground becomes to soft to support consistent traffic on the field from automobiles. The backdrop of the covered bridge and Stearns creek is fantastic.
Typical flying hours are 10 AM to 8 PM daily. Please be considerate of the land owners when visiting the field. Be aware it is a working farm so please close all gates behind you.
